Wizard of Ooze: Cache owner,

As you have not indicated that you have visited your cache location to replace it if it was missing, perform needed maintenance, or verify that it is still there within a reasonable amount of time, I am regretfully archiving the cache to clear it from the active cache database and open the area to new caching opportunities.

Please do not respond to this note by sending an email reply — your response will go to an unmonitored location and disappear into the ethernet instead of being sent to me. If you need to contact me regarding this cache, please do so using the link on my Profile Page

Thank you for your contribution to geocaching.

Geocache Description:

Accurate to 9 meters
Elevation 1040 ft.

This cache is on private property with permission and can be accessed from the road.  Please park on the road and leave the parking for the properties patrons.  There is no need to look in the flower gardens.

This area is called Gallagher Lake named after the lake that is across the highway.  You cannot see the lake from the road and unfortunately, it does not have public access.

This Geocache gets its name from the huge pine trees on the property and its location at the foot of McIntyre Buff.  The ponderosa pines that you will see towering above are around 120 years old.  They are often frequented by Great Horned Owls who perch in the high branches.  Towering even higher than the trees is the sheer rock face of McIntyre bluff.  The bluff is well known for looking like an Indian chief’s head.  People have also seen images of statue of liberty and a dancing lady while looking at the craggy rock face.  Take a long look and use your imagination.  It is here that the Okanagan Valley is at its narrowest.  This is also a site of a battle between the Okanagan and Shuswap Indians.
