Stedfastgate Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Firth of Forth: Went for a run past here on this lovely warm evening. As reported, the hiding place has disappeared and there isn't another place to hide a wee box (i don't believe in nanos). The only option, sadly, is to archive it.

Geocache Description:

The junction of two old railway lines, now cycle paths.  The Caledonian line ran West to East and the Leith and Newhaven line ran North to South, the latter above the former.  When there is less greenery, you can see two very large round pillars in the Water of Leith that carried the line over the river.  The Leith and Newhaven line used to bisect nearyby Victoria Park, and trains ran along here as recently as early 1970s. It also continued on to join Trinity Chain Pier, now only remembered by the Old Chain Pier pub.

Coordinates for the cache were a little difficult to obtain under the tree cover, which is reflected in the difficulty level, but the hint should help.
