Geocache Description:

Park further up the on the Suikerbossie service road opposite the commerative plaques. Take the forest footpath down to Ruyteplaats and request to view the public footpath and remnants of Thomas Bain's old Victoria Kloof Road

Although the plaque should read Thomas John Charles Bain(son to Andrew Geddes Bain of Bain's Kloof), the estate owners are very welcoming to the public and accomodating wrt access. The most visible part of the original road can be seen on the footpath between the roadside Plaques and Ruyteplaats main gate. The cache itself is hidden by Thomas' great great great grandson on a latter section! Enjoy
