My Grandad Cyril came from near Delabole originally but met my Gran who was born In Michaelstow. They married in Michaelstow and lived here for most of their lives.
Most weekends and School holidays I spent with my grandparents here in Michaelstow. Grandad was a brilliant gardener and won many prizes for his veg. He could make brilliant Bows and Arrows from Sticks and string
He Knew most things about wildlife. He knew what plants and Fungi you could eat. How to skin a rabbit. He could identify birds eggs and all sorts. He was a proper country bloke.
I have many fond memories of feeding the ducks here. Grandad would sometimes take me into the Holiday village for some Chips whilst he had a half and a fag!
He was an amazing man. He loved Michaelstow and everyone in the village knew him.
This cache is in his memory. If he were alive today he would have loved geocaching.
