Cache con gran historia en la costa norte de Menorca.

Para llegar al cache teneis que seguir la carretera de Far Nati. El tesoro se encuentra a 15-20 minutos andando. Puedes dejar el coche en (MIRAR WAYPOINT) y luego ir hacia la derecha por el Camí de Cavalls. Una vez en la cruz, es mejor no hacer mucho caso al GPS y seguir vuestro instinto, ya que las coordenadas son algo inexactas.

En la madrugada del 10 de febrero de 1910, el paquebote de la Compagnie Générale Transatlantique "Général Chanzy", que cubría el trayecto Marsella-Argel, naufragaba en la costa norte de la isla de Menorca. El siniestro tuvo gran repercusión en la prensa internacional y fue una de las tragedias que más conmocionó a la opinión pública del momento por la tragedia del suceso y por el número de víctimas: 156 personas y un único superviviente, el empleado de aduanas Marcel Badez. Contaba con una tripulación de 69 personas, constituida por oficiales de puente, oficiales de máquinas, doctor, contramaestre, carpintero, marineros de primera y de segunda, grumetes, fogoneros, estibadores, hostelero, cocineros, gambuceros y camareros. El "Général Chanzy" disponía de camarotes de primera, segunda, tercera y cuarta clase, y tenía capacidad para albergar a más de un centenar de personas.

To get to the cache you have to follow the road to Far Nati. The treasure is a 15-20 minutes walking. You can park the car in (LOOK AT THE WAYPOINT) and then turn right to Camí de Cavalls. Once at the monument, it is better not pay much attention to the GPS and follow your instinct, because the coordinates are some meters off.

On the morning of February 10, 1910, the steamer of the Compagnie Generale Transatlantique "General Chanzy," which was traveling Marseille-Algiers, was wrecked on the north coast of the island of Menorca. The incident had a significant impact in the international press and was one of the tragedies that most shocked the public opinion of the moment by the tragedy of the event and the number of victims: 156 people and only one survivor, the customs officer Marcel Badez. It had a crew of 69 people, consisting of deck officers, engineer officers, doctor, boatswain, carpenter, sailors of first and second, cabin boys, firemen, longshoremen, hotelier, chefs and waiters. The "General Chanzy" had cabins of first, second, third and fourth class, and had a capacity for more than a hundred people.
