Geocache Description:

This is a series of 10 caches on a circular walk of around 2.5 miles (4km). It should take 1.5-2 hours to cowmplete. Most of the containers only contain a log, so please bring your own pen.

Some paths can be muddy in winter, and overgrown in summer. It is not suitable for wheelchairs, buggies or bicycles. There are some slight gradients on the walk.

The cache is a small metal container.

With a wide range of habitats, from heathland to farmland, from cliff-tops to sandy beaches, the area is full of wildlife. The cliffs themselves have been designated a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest’.  The route uses public rights of way and permissive footpaths.  The caches have been hidden with this in mind, and are easily accessible from the footpaths.
Parking is available at Taddiford Gap, Milford on Sea, SO41 0LJ (N 50° 43.990, W 001° 37.653) from £1.50 (2 hours). There are no public toilets here. There are refreshments available by cache number 4.

The route:
Turn right out of the car park onto Milford Road, and in 20 yards, cross the road to the steps going down the bank to a footpath signpost. Follow the footpath until the ground starts to rise, before bearing left and towards the top of the wood.  Follow the footpath along the wood and then along the edge of a field, keeping the fences to the right. Turn left onto Shorefield Lane, and then left along the main road until reaching a field on the left.  The footpath sign is a few yards down the road indicating a footpath across the field. Usually well defined, it makes for the corner of the wood opposite.  Continue following the path through the wood until reaching Milford Road. Cross the road to a wooden kissing gate and continue on the footpath as it becomes a gravel path. Bear right between marker posts and the path across the golf course is clearly marked. Turn left along the coastal path, and take a footpath on the left back to the car park.
