HISTORY
The BCRT is aproximately 80 kilometers in length, so says the internet! The east leg is from Port Elgin, through Paisley, jogs over to Walkerton and down to the Bruce Huron county line and the west leg is from Port Elgin to Bruce Power. In the past, the trains would run through Port Elgin and over to Ontario Hydro (currently Bruce Power). Now the BCRT is used by walkers, horses, for snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snow shoeing and the trail is well used by ATVs.
PARKING
You can park on the south side of Concession Road 2, west of the trail head. On the north side of Con 2, this section of trail is open to vehicles approximately 1/3 of the distance north towards Concession Road 4...so you could carefully park across from the clue box GZ...to continue on this trail in the north direction, you can drive as far as the orange trail gates. This section is open because it is one of 2 access routes to the quarry operation west of the rail trail. At the junction of the trail, where the other quarry access crosses it, is where the standard orange trail gates are located. It is convenient to turn your vehicle around at this location

To complete this cache, you will have to have the balance and agility of a mountain goat and be fearless, just to get the clue container...you have been told! You may have to use your hands as well as your feet! The terrain will be rated a bit higher because of this one spot only. Bring your good sense of humour and your geosenses along with you. Do not bring your young children. Enjoy the game. The clue box is a camo painted 14 OZ LnL. Please note that the clue box sits in a horizontal cage and the opening to get it out is under the branch on the north side. The cache box is a camo painted large peanut butter jar.

ATTRACTION: testing your climbing skills and your guessing skill!
PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF WHERE YOU ARE RETRIEVING THE CACHE CONTAINERS FROM, AND RETURN THEM TO THEIR EXACT LOCATIONS TO PREVENT MIGRATION...IN THIS CASE BOTH ARE OFF THE GROUND AND SUSPENDED IN A CAGE. BE SURE THE CLUE BOX IS COMPLETELY SHOVED INTO IT'S CAGE
