Don't get mobbed Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Bon Echo: Sorry to recent seekers, I thought I had already archived this one. Too many containers lost at sea, time to let it go.

Geocache Description:

Pretty much a "park and grab" cache on the shore of Hamilton Harbour (Burlington Bay)

This cache is located on the rocky shoreline of Hamilton Harbour (Burlington Bay) at the Canada Centre for Inland Waters property. Parking is available in the lot closest to the cache location, which is made available for public use.

Exercise caution when searching for the cache, a lot of garbage gets washed up in this area and needles were found in the area once. Also, many fisherman use the is spot, and fishing hooks could be near the cache.

The name refers to the protective behaviour of the gulls that nest on the nearby islands and also on the rooftops of the adjacent buildings. They will scold and even dive-bomb anyone they perceive as a threat. This happened to me when placing the cache, so be aware if you are looking for this cache in the breeding season. Wildlife scientists who must enter the breeding colonies of gulls and terns (such as those found nearby the cache) often wear protective gear to prevent injuries from dive-bombing parents.
Cache is a regular-sized plastic container with a number of trade items. Please make sure container is well hidden.
