Geocache Description:

The Legendary Shoe Tree is a famous attraction in Crawford County. Many people come each year to ornament the tree with another pair of shoes, and it is even said that former Boston Celtic Larry Bird's basketball shoes hang from this tree.

If you come to find this cache, you may want to bring your own pair of shoes to add to the collection. The original shoe tree is just acrossed the road from the new shoe tree. Several years ago a ligtening strike burned it up and only part of the original tree remains. It is a sight to see.

In order to find this cache, you are going to do some driving into the backwoods of Crawford County. Be careful on the winding roads. There are many ways to reach the shoe tree. It is located at the intersection of E Knight Road, E Shoe Tree Ln, and S Devils Hollow Rd. The address is: 3826 S Devils Hollow Road. The cache itself is not located on the tree but is nearby and guarded well.
