Park off Bush Road, near the gate at the beginning of the trail. If you're lucky the trail will be on the topo map in your GPSr as an old road. If not, I'll post a trail map in the photos.
This is my first cache, in my favorite kind of place: an uphill hike to a sweet spot to sit and read, watch the trees, listen to birds. I intend to keep it stocked with at least some kind of Ackbar swag, for any weirdos like me that give a damn.
Bonus 1: The cache is not at the very top of Deer Hill--keep walking up the trail a short ways to the summit, and you'll find a little hut with a "muggle cache" logbook inside, under a very heavy rock.
Bonus 2: On the first straight stretch of trail lower down on the hill, there is a turtle effigy just to the left of the trail as you're headed up. Fairly easy to spot if you keep an eye out.
