POR: Quando se fala de gaivotas fala-se de liberdade. Não sei se convosco assim é, mas, para mim, são um baluarte da liberdade.
Não consigo dissociar o seu voo tranquilo no silêncio absoluto das alturas e a vontade de seguir caminho próprio, independentemente de outros interesses, por vezes absurdos.
É um bicho inteligente, e quem discordar apenas tem de ver os mexilhões arrancados das rochas que as gaivotas elevam até às alturas num gracioso voo. De seguida deixam-nos cair para os esmagarem de encontro ao chão, podendo então deliciar-se com o manjar, após o um apressado voo com receio do roubo pelas suas companheiras.
Mas há também, para além da verdade nua e crua da ciência e do senso comum a visão poética ...
Esta cache é um convite à leitura de um pequeno livro. “História de uma gaivota e do gato que a ensinou a voar” de Luis Sepúlveda é um livro simples, imortal, puro e com um intenso chamamento aos valores chamados humanos. É uma história extraordinária sobre um gato grande, preto e gordo, uma gaivota apanhada por uma maré negra e o ovo dessa gaivota.

Depois disto nada melhor que conhecer a terra onde essas gaivotas são as raínhas. Ao redor tudo lhes pertence e nada pertence a ninguém.
ENG When we talk about seagulls we talk about freedom, don´t knowing if you feel the same.
We think they are a symbol of a free spirit. We can´t disassociate their peaceful and graceful flight high above our heads and the willingness on pursuit their own path regardless other interests.
It is an intelligent creature and you can easily find them throwing the mussels from the heights to crack them out.
But beyond the truth of science and common sense there is the poetic and romantic point of view.
This cache is an invitation to read a small, pure and eternal book of Luís Sepúlveda named “The story of a seagull and the cat who taught her to fly” where you can hear the calling of the so-called Human values. It is an extraordinary story of a big, black, fat cat, a seagull and her egg.

After these few words there is no better than knowing the land where seagulls are the true queens. All you can see is theirs, although landscape has no owner.
