Geocache Description:

Best by boat, you can sit in your boat and grab it.

First cache left by *** Special K ***.  Small container with log and pencil.

Beautiful location, especially at sunset.  Serene.  Enjoy!

A bit of background on the area:
The Monksville Area was once a residential neighborhood, containing about 15 homes. The  dwellings were all demolished, their owners relocated, and a dam constructed. The Wanaque River swelled, resulting in this reservoir. Remnants of some structures as well as the old roadways still exist - and are apparent with a short paddle (or 9.9HP-motor-or-less) along the rocky banks. Stonetown Road was re-routed to the location of the dam.
