This cache sits at the peak (if you can call it that) of Mount Nelson or, as it is more commonly known to the locals, Elephant Mountain.
In celebration of my 200th find, the Mrs and I planted this cache at the top of the mountain after our second attempt to claim the summit. We had just found another cache at the second attempt up by the CBC Tower and I thought it would be a great place for a cache right on the highest point of land on Elephant Mountain.
To get to the cache, you can take the hiking trail from Pulpit Rock - in which case you aren't entirely reasonable and I'll let you figure out how to bushwhack your way to the cache site yourself. For those of us that prefer to take roads, you follow the CBC Towers Road up until you reach N 49 32.340 W 117 18.420 where you will find a road going off to your right. You can follow this road to where it ends and then it's the Woodsie Way from there. This road has been deactivated with cross-ditches so you will need a vehicle with pretty good clearance. If you aren't in 4 wheel drive by this point already, then you're not doing anything more than further wrecking the road beyond it's already dubious status.
