This cache was placed in close proximity to our home. At the placement time of the cache, you were looking at a sea of green, with the smell of fresh grown corn, wafting through the air. This is Indiana. But there is more than corn in Indiana...
There is our Brittany Spaniel, Cagney for example.
Cagney is our totally blind dog. She lost both of her eyes to another Indiana speciality... blastomycosis. "Blasto" as it is called for short is found mostly in the Ohio River Valley. It is a infection caused by fungus and often dogs do not survive blasto.
After moving into our log cabin near by, Cagney seemed to be adjusting well. Two times, the neighbor that lives just down this road has called to tell us she found Cagney. You kinda notice a dog no eyes sitting on your front porch. Our properties ajoin from the 2 county roads and Cagney got disoriented and lost and showed up at their house.
Thus the blended name of the cache..."Corn and Cagney."
