Geocache Description:

This is the Wabash River Challenge Cache. It is a high difficulty and terrain and that is what makes it a tough one. The cache you are seeking is a Decon container hidden on the smaller of 2 islands known as goat island to the locals. This cache should not be attempted if the river is not safe to travel on, and will take a substantial ammount of time. You have been warned :)

I have seen several different caches that are a good challenge but this one is a work out. The cache can only be reached by boat, canoe or other means of water travel. Once you reach the island you'll notice a slight elevation change. The cache is located High enough that floods should not damage or wash it away, but if your brave enough to try for this one you'll see. The only special tool that is required is a means to get up... or down river. A caching buddy is recommended for safety and be prepared to get wet and muddy. Dangers include.... Flying fish, snakes, poision plants, dificult climbing. and lots of mud and water. I have been on a few trips and the sand bar to the West of the island is a beautiful place to stop and eat lunch or even camp for the night on a long trip down river.
