Geocache Description:

This is the first time I have organised an Event. So expect the unexpected. It is intended as a gathering of like minded people exchanging hints tips and Caching experiences with others.

The Event is taking place on Saturday 18th August from 12.30pm to 3.30pm at The Dolphin Hotel, Station Road, Bovey Tracey, TQ13 9AL As it is International Geocaching Day, Geocachers who log an “Attended” at an Event Cache will earn a special souvenir for your Geocaching profile. There will be a raffle, so if you have something suitable to donate for a prize, it is a for a good cause, possibly a quiz and fun for Everyone. There is food available served until 2.00pm. Please can you let me know in your log if you will be requiring food so as to give the Chef an idea of numbers. If you have never been to an event before you will be very welcome, and it would be lovely to meet you. We hope to attract old and new cachers from Devon and surrounding areas. It's a great opportunity to match faces to all those names that you are familiar with in the logs, and meet up with fellow cachers and share caching stories (or even pick up a few hints for those puzzles) over a glass or two. There will be the normal opportunity to swap and discover Travel Bugs and Geocoins... The Devon events have been inspired by the success of the Berkshire, Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire meets. The meetings will be organized by local cachers and can be held anywhere in the county of Devon. We are looking for fresh volunteers to host events in different parts of the county. You can always join us on facebook Children are welcome, unfortunately dogs are not allowed in the pub during food service. If you have anything to donate for raffle prizes we would be very grateful.
