Geocache Description:

This is a favorite spot I found while hunting many years ago. The hike is only .73 miles and the view is worth it.

From Quartzville Creek Road at the back of Green Peter Reservoir the shortest route is up Trout Creek Road to Yellowstone Mountain. There are other ways in that are not as steep. Yellowstone Road or Packers Gulch but you better be good with a map or have a good navigation system. From the parking coords walk up the old road to the side road with the big boulder in the middle. Follow this old road out to the bear grass meadow. Continue up the road to the high point. Turn left up through a bear grass clearing 1/10 mile to the cache. The cache is on a steep overlook of the Crabtree Valley, keep the kids and dogs back from the edge. There is an unactivated TB dogtag for the FTF. Once you've found your way here, continue down the road to the next major junction and turn right onto Coyote Creek Road. Follow this to the bottom and the next right takes you to Crabtree Lake.
