This cache is accessable on the upper portion of Lower Bear River Reservoir and has a spectacular view of it. It is best to search for this cache in the summer and by boat. Canoes or kayaks will get you the closest to the cache but motor boats are functional too. You can hike to it but there is not a well defined trail and the terrain is trecherous with large and numerous granite bolders. Lower Bear River Reservoir ends at a dam for the Upper Bear River Reservoir. The upper reservoir dam discharges its water to the lower reservoir and this allows you to view the once Rambling Bear River (thus the cache name). The cache is not located at lower lake level. It is higher up and closer to, but not at, the elevation of the upper reservoir. Some steep hiking and climbing are involved. Because of its location, adult supervision is necessary for all children. After finding the cache be prepared to sit a spell to enjoy the view!
