THIS CACHE IS ON THE LAUREL MILL CROSS COUNTRY SKI TRAIL AND IS NO FURTHER THAN 35 FT FROM THE TRAIL.
EASY FIND AND A NICE WALK. IF YOU TAKE YOUR 4 LEGGED COMPANIONS LIKE I DID ATTACH THEIR PICTURE. I WOULD BE WILLING TO BET THAT MORE MASTERS & DOGS USE THIS TRAIL IN SUMMER TIME THAN SKIERS IN THE WINTER. DURING HUNTING SEASON, THAT IS MOSTLY YEAR ROUND WEAR BLAZE ORANGE

Forest Supervisor Closure Orders prohibit the use of mountain bikes and saddle, pack or draft animals. Be aware that this area is used heavily in the late fall and spring by hunters. It is a good idea to wear bright fluorescent colored clothing if hiking during these time periods.

Directions: This trailhead parking lot is located three miles west of Ridgway, PA on Township Road 307.

Hiking
Day Hiking The trails are marked with blue diamonds. Laurel Mill offers challenges to a wide range of skill levels. The Elk Loop and Perseverance Loop are designated EASIEST and are suitable for beginning skiers. The Scout Loop, Hemlock Loop and One Mile Loop are designated MORE DIFFICULT and are suitable for more advanced skiers. The Sparrow Nest Loop is best suited to hiking. "You Are Here" signs are located at trail junctions and other key locations.
Fire Information Campfires are permitted if maintained in a fire ring, and completely extinguished.

Allegheny National Forest is public land open to fishing, hunting and trapping. Please comply with Pennsylvania Game Commission regulations. No hunting is permitted within Recreation (campgrounds) Areas, but you may walk outside recreation area to hunt. Observe safety zones.
