Kayak or use other watercraft to access Stage Island in Cape Porpoise, ME. First to find gets FTF Congratulations and gets to set the cache's theme and stock it with its original materials.
Access to Stage Island is by watercraft of your choice. From its main beach area, it's a short hike to the right, up around the rocks. Stay on the rocks and away from the vegetation (poison ivy) until you get to the ocean-side (back) of the island. The cache is hidden not too far after you round the corner to the island's rear. Watch out for poison ivy. At the time this cache was placed, there was no poison ivy growing over or within a few feet of it.
UPDATE 8/1/2016 -- NOTE: Recent "Found It" log has indicated Poison Ivy has begun to encroach the hide spot. Be careful. Next time I'm out there, I'll re-hide in safer spot.
Please re-hide very well so the cache will not be taken away by wind or high seas!
