This is sixth of a series of caches highlighting the colors of light (an alternate 6th cache will be published for those who don't have Wherigo capability). Each will have some relation to the color in the cache title. Each cache will contain two code numbers, to be used in finding the series final - White - Color of Light, since white light is composed of all colors of light. Be sure to record these code numbers.
Indigo light has a wavelength of about 420 - 450 nm. Indigo is between the blue and violet colors in the visible light spectrum, and appears as a dark shade of blue, the color of the icon for a Wherigo cache!

What is a Wherigo Geocache?
Wherigo is a new way of utilizing GPS technology to play games, take tours, and yes, geocache. This Whereigo cache will explore the area where you could go to learn about light - namely some interesting features of U of M's north campus - home to its College of Engineering.
Do I need special equipment?
Yes! To find this cache the proper way and experience the hunt the way it was designed, you will need two things
1. The Wherigo Player on Wherigo compatible Hardware. Wherigo capability comes preloaded on some GPSr devices. You may also download a Wherigo player that works on many pocket PCs at the Wherigo website, or your smart phone's AppStore.
2. The "Indigo - Color of Light" cartridge, which can be downloaded here: Indigo - Color of Light
This Wherigo cartridge should take a little more than an hour to play and retrieve the cache. When the cartridge completes you will be given coordinates of the cache (which will be displayed as well as saved as a certificate in the Wherigo player) and a completion code. You may record and upload the completion code to the Wherigo web site. Visit Wherigo.com to learn more about Wherigo cartridges and caching.
As with most campus areas, parking can be challenging. Some Visitor Parking areas for the University of Michigan's North Campus have been identified as other waypoints.
FTF prize is an Indigo colored flashlight. Congratulations to Geoconsumer, PROBOB and ACL Coordinator on their shared FTF!
