Hoosier_Reviewer: Since there has been no response to my previous note, I am archiving the cache.

While we feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you for a reasonable amount of time, we cannot do so indefinitely. In light of the lack of communication regarding this geocache, it has been archived to free up the area for new placements. You will not be able to unarchive this listing. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up this geocache or any remaining bits as soon as possible.

Geocache Description:

You will be looking for a medium bison tube. Cache contains only a log so make sure to bring your own writing instrument. Please make sure you remove & replace the container to their original placement. I had to move this from the original placement due to being to close to the railroad. I still wanted to bring you here to this wonderful Small Town, USA.

I placed this cache in honor of "The Boys of Fall". My stepsons were both one of those boys, but the youngest was the only one to receive the special honor of 1997 Class A Football State Champion. That was a great year in his life & in the lives of all his family members along with lots of other families. You will notice a sign along the highway to commemorate this event. His team was the first in the state to have an undefeated (15-0) record. Another school did it also that same year, but their last game was after his.
While your in the area please take a look at Lake Cicott. This lake is, as I have been told, the southern most natural body of water in Indiana. I haven't been able to verify that yet, but have been told this since I was a child. It is a glacial lake & has no above ground inlet or outlet. It is fed by the Teays River which is an  underground river. It use to flood over the town streets & highway every 7th year. Eventually the roads were raised to prevent that from happening, but it still would come close. Right now it is on the receding part of its cycle so it is low & with the extreme drought we are having it is probably lower than it normally would be. My grandfather use to sit on the bank on the north side & fish for bluegill in the spring when they were spawning. I ask him once after seeing him there that morning if he had caught many. His reply was "Naw, only about 20 small ones". Small ones, by the way, were the size of his hand. I'll never forget that day. Remember if you ever want to bring a boat & do some fishing that outboard & inboards are not allowed. Use paddles or electric motors only.
You'll see the tiny post office, but it's not in it's original place. If you look to the south across the highway from it you'll see an old building with a porch along the front. That use to be Kenny Websters Grocery & the post office was originally inside that building just inside the door at the south end of the porch. The building along the highway across the highway & west of the Championship sign (with the glass front) use to be Wells Appliance store. Like most tiny towns there really isn't much left, but the people still like living here.
I am not making this handicap accessible although I believe it could be. I'll let you decide that when you arrive. Please be careful & watch all children closely!

Congrats to dr_mikes on the FTF!
