A nice spot for a break. Watch for cattle (especially bulls) in the bushes during the summer season.
Fig Lake is one of my favorite spots to stop for a snack while quadding. Gravel road access is via Gillis Road, off of Coldwater Road. The road is a bit rough in places where water has streamed down the bed, but is easily traversed by quad or high-clearance vehicle (snowmobile in the winter). A regular vehicle would likely be fine in the summer, but use your own judgement. It is neccessary to travel along the pipeline right-of-way for the last part of the journey at least.
Quadders/snowmobilers may prefer to access the cache from any number of trails in the area rather than use the road. I suggest you circle the entire lake as it's quite a nice sight.
I've never tried swimming here, and I'm told there are leeches in the water.
