Lacul Caltun este un lac glaciar asezat in caldarea Caltun (Lespezi) la altitudinea de 2.135 m. Are o suprafata de 7.751 mp si o adancime maxima de 11.8. Caldarea in care se afla lacul este cunoscuta pentru vanturi foarte puternice. Pe malul lacului exista un refugiu montan, precum si o zona de campare. De la Lacul Caltun (situat pe traseul de creasta a muntilor Fagaras) se poate ajunge in cca 1h45-2h la Varful Negoiu (2.535 m), prin Strunga Doamnei.
Atentie: aceasta cutie se gaseste intr-o zona alpina izolata si presupune efort intens si experienta montana adecvata.

[EN]Caltun Lake is a glaciar cirque lake, located in Caltun (Lespezi) cirque at the altitude of 2.135 m. It has a surface of 7.751 sqm and a maximum depth of 11.8. The cirque where the lake is located is known as a very windy area. Near the lake there is a mountain refuge and a camping area. From Caltun Lake (situated on the ridge route of Fagaras Mountains) it can be reached in about 1h45-2h Negoiu Peak (2.535 m), through Strunga Doamnei.
Warning: this box is located in highly alpine isolated area and it presumes intense effort and subsequent mountaineering experience.
Due to the size of the box, please bring your own pen! I know it's hard to carry it up there, but effort shall be rewarded :)
