Since there are so few geocaches in Nepal and I climbed up this trekking-route, I decided to provide a new geocache away from ABC and Mt. Everest along this great trek.
My great host Sudip Gautam used to support me maintaining and providing this cache. As you can read below, Sudip unfortunately passed away in a tragic accident in these mountains. The cache will stay up if I have positive indications that it keeps being maintained.
As from now you can log your next hard gathered geocache while drinking a cup of organic tea and enjoying the lovely panorama of the Annapurna Mountains. You should do this especially in March, when all the Rhododendrons bloom and the view clear is.
Because of the hard weather conditions up there the cache is NOT 24/7/365 accessible. It is inside the building in the dining Hall, you have to search for it there. I think nobody is going to hike there in night and during tourist season there is all the time somebody at High Camp. Da es in Nepal insgesamt schon so wenige Caches zu finden gibt und ich diesen Trek sehr schön fand, habe ich mich entschieden auch den Trekkern vernab von ABC und Mt. Everest einen Cache bereitzustellen.
Mein grandioser Gastgeber Sudip Gautam hat sich auch bereit erklärt ein trockenes Plätzchen und Wartung für den Cache zu gewährleisten. Wie Ihr weiter unten lesen könnt ist Sudip leider in einem tragischen Unfall umgekommen. Der Cache bleibt verfügbar wenn ich weiss, dass er gewartet wird.
So könnt ihr ab jetzt bei einer Tasse Tee mit Dach über dem Kopf und Aussicht auf das Annapurna Massiv euren nächsten hart erkämpften Geocache loggen. Vorzugsweise im März, wenn dazu noch all die Rhododendren blühen und die Sicht klar ist.
Der Cache ist aufgrund der harten Witterung dort oben nicht draußen und daher nicht immer zu finden. Ihr müsst ihn im Speiseraum des High Camp suchen. Aber nachts wird da wohl niemand vorbei kommen und innerhalb der Saison ist immer jemand im High Camp.
