Although I am an Edmontonian, my roots are in this area. Most of the names on the gravestones are those of my relatives or friends. They are gone from this earth but will always be a part of who I am as they are the village that raised me. It is not necessary to enter the cemetery to access this cache. Please do not look for this cache if mourners are present.
This cache is on the outskirts of the tiny village of Metiskow. I grew up on a farm about twelve miles from here but this is where my family attended church. Sixty years ago, there were several stores, a main street hall, a school, service station, dozens of houses and even a restaurant. It truly symbolizes a little town on the prairie and makes me think fondly of those impressionable years when I learned the importance of family, hard work, honesty, integrity, and respect for all.
