We love caching along bike trails and always wished there were more along the Allegheny River Trail. This brought us to our Big Bag Theory series of caches along this portion of the bike trail.
Sheldon has a deep love for trains. On The Terminator Decoupling, instead of flying to San Francisco, they travel on the Coast Starlight train, on Sheldon's insistence.
The closest parking we know for these caches is next to the Rockland Tunnel, about 6 miles down the trail. There is a private road, N. Tunnel Rd., in Kennerdell, but the road is private-use (we accessed from here as we have family with a camp on that road). If anyone comes across closer parking or can provide coordinates, please email us and we will add to all the caches. These caches are meant to get while biking, although a few or most of them may be accessible from the river if you feel like climbing. Don’t forget a flashlight if you plan on biking through the tunnel and finding another cacher’s hide, Tunnel of Terror, which is nearby our Bazinga! cache.
