This cache replaces Hidden Jewel which was recently muggled for the second time. It is in the same area but has been moved to a more secure (hopefully!) spot not far from the original. There is lots of good parking not far past the 6 km sign on the Lac Du Bois road.
This is a camoed micro containing only a log and pencil. I wanted to share this spot with others who appreciate the natural beauty of the area. At the base of a steep bluff and hidden in a basin between two small hills, is a gorgeous little lake. It is not visible from the road, but a pleasant hike of about one-half kilometre will bring you to the cache and a good view of the lake. The best view of course is from the top of the bluff, above the cache, but there is no adequate concealment spot. I tried to maintain a cache up there in a small rock-cairn; however it was repeatedly muggled. Hence the move to this new, nearby location.
Wherever you view the lake from though, be sure to bring your camera. Enjoy...
