The center of controversy for the last 10 years in Elizabethtown is now open to the public. The Elizabethtown Sports Park is now Elizabethtown's new shining star. Originally named the Field of Dreams this park has been up and down in the public perception from a controversial restaurant tax and a city classification this park has seen it all.
Regardless of your views this place is amazing and the city has put a lot into this place to make it a first rate facility for all kinds of regional sporting events. Some of this places highlights are 12 baseball / softball fields, one special needs baseball field, two multipurpose football /soccer fields, numerous practice soccer fields and my personal favorite part, almost 3 miles of hiking and biking trails. If you bought food at one of the local restaurants in the past couple of years, you helped pay for this place, so come on out and see what a beauty it is.
Special Note: Look up, you will notice a large tower above you. The park has free WiFi if needed.
Note: The old entrance off Saint Johns Road is closed now and only open for special events, please access the park via the main entrance off West Park Road. This is a newer road and may not show up on older maps so follow Ring Road and take the road between Winchester and Flint Ink.
