O Pico da Ana Ferreira é uma elevação singular na ilha do Porto Santo e um monumento geológico de relevância mundial.A perfeição das suas estruturas colunares prismáticas, com as mais diversas orientações, e a dimensão de todo o conjunto exposto destas formações, aliado à existência de pequenas grutas, justificam uma visita ao local.
Em redor deste pico e sem ser necessário subir ao topo, é possível encontrar um conjunto de grutas de dimensão diversa, que no Porto Santo atribuem a designação de “Lapas” . Segundo algumas histórias, teria sido nestas grutas que viveu uma mulher de nome Ana Ferreira, e motivado a atual designação deste pico.
Atenção: As rochas que constituem o Pico Ana Ferreira e os musgos e líquenes que as cobrem em alguns locais, quando molhados, tornam-se muito escorregadios. Avalie a sua capacidade e os obstáculos que tem pela frente. Seja sensato nas decisões a tomar.

Pico Ana Ferreira is a singular elevation on the island of Porto Santo and a geological monument with global relevance. The perfection of its prismatic columnar structures, with many different orientations, and the size of the whole complex of these formations, together with the existence of small caves, justify a careful visit to the place.
Around this peak and without being necessary to climb to the top, you can find a set of caves of various sizes, which in Porto Santo assign the designation "Lapas". According to some stories, would have been in these caves, who lived a woman named Ana Ferreira, and motivated the current designation of this peak.
