Geocache Description:

Here you are looking for an ammo can on the ridge between Cook Hill and the summit of Augspurger Mountain. There is a user trail along this ridge that's marked by a generous amount of tin can lids nailed to tree trunks. Gz is a clearing along the tin can lid trail that provides excellent views to the NE including a very good view of Mt. Adams.

The cache can be approached from Augspurger Mountain or Cook Hill. If you approach this from Cook Hill be aware of poison oak scattered along the way below 2000'. And if you plan to hunt for the other geocaches on Cook Hill and are unfamilar with the trails and roads the CO will be happy to provide a GPX file for your use. I think you'll find Cook Hill to be a great hiking spot, so go enjoy. You will not need a parking pass along Cook-Underwood road.
