A geocache placed by Crew Member 3 to remember her two happy years at Beccles Middle School before it closed on Friday 20th July 2012.
Built in 1939, the building served as Beccles Middle School for students aged 9 to 13 in the Beccles & surrounding area from 1971 - 2012. With a school roll of around 435 pupils, the school held the Sportsmark Award and was the FA Charter School for the Eastern region.
Due to Suffolk County Council's reorganisation plans, Beccles Middle School closed on Friday 20th July 2012 with its remaining pupils transferring to Sir John Leman High School.
The geocache is not on school grounds but alongside a nearby public footpath / cycle path.
Please replace cache carefully and ensure it is well covered as this is a very busy path.
EDITED 4.7.2017. After being muggled for the 2nd time, the container has now been replaced again. You are now looking for something slightly larger than a 35mm film container, but the same shape and well camoflaged. It contains a log book only so BYOP. I have also made a little 'cradle' for the container to sit in in order to prevent the cache from being accidentally dislodged. Please replace exactly as found to keep this cache hidden and active.
