Geocache Description:

"Hummer" can refer to a person or thing who hums, a humdinger, a bird, or perhaps a type of car.  This cache helps demonstrate that geo-caching is an humdinger of an activity because it takes you on a fun hike, in an area with trees, caches, and “kettles.”

hum·mer [huhm-er] noun 1. a person or thing that hums. 2.Slang . humdinger. 3. a hummingbird. This large cache helps demonstrate that geo-caching is an humdinger of an activity for all ages, and not just for young whippersnappers.

The camouflaged container is just one or two steps off the trail.  Absolutely NO BUSHWHACKING, no vegetation needs be destroyed, no geo-trail needs to be formed to find this cache.

This should be fairly easy. Our accuracy was about 14 feet but the coordinates should still get you very close to the cache.

After you find the cache, you might want to explore the huge number of trails in the Kettles. Oh yes, and several of the trails have geocaches to be found.

The closest parking in a pullout on the west side of the highway at MP 24. You will find helpful information very near the start of the trail.
