This geocache is best sought on your bicycle, either from Butteville or Champoeg (day use permit is required if you go via Champoeg). The terrain is very smooth, level and wheelchair accessible ( from Champoeg, that is) up until the last couple of yards. It should only take a few minutes to find once you are nearby.
The cache is good sized, and it can be reached on foot or by bicycle. It is located in an area near to the river, where there is a good deal of bike traffic on weekends, so be sure to keep bikes clear of the path. When closing the cache, we ask that you secure the clasp fully to ensure that the container is water tight. After you've found it, if you are on bikes, continue to the old Butteville store for a good turkey sandwich! You're halfway there!
