Continuing along the River Soar from Abbey Park, this path takes you past The National Space Centre and Abbey Pumping Station Museum before eventually arriving at Watermead Park. A very nice route for a walk or cycle ride.
You are looking for an evil magnetic nano.
This cache is placed on the path right next to the National Space Centre and, if you go down the path to the side of the building, you will also reach the Abbey Pumping Station Museum (which is free to enter, and kids love the exhibits about poo). The National Space Centre was opened in 2001 and houses many Space oriented exhibits including a Blue Streak and Thor Able rockets in its 42 meter high rocket tower. My particular favorite exhibit however is the Soyuz Capsule (see photo) suspended in the air inside the main enterance. This location is of particular significance for me because, in 2006, it was the location of my own wedding reception (see photo!).
**** A very hearty CONGRATULATIONS to Gungjumbo for FTF on this tricky cache, and for beating Team Heidi! ****
UPDATE : 08/09/12 : Thanks for everyone whos tried to find this pretty tricky cache. I like to place the occasional difficult cache, but I also like people to find and experience my caches, so I'm changing the clue to make it just a little bit more find-able (not much though). If you want to experience the cache in its original form, don't read the clue. If after you have read the clue you still cant find it then feel free to email me! I dont mind! Just include in your log that I gave you some extra help :D (I wont tell you where it is - but I will give you a pretty easy clue.) Also - if your planning to do this trail with kids, email me before you go - its no fun searching for 20 mins with a bored kid.
Trust your GPS :D
