Geocache Description:

We thought we would add to the caches since this is such an epic spot. Contenue on from Memaloose Falls and cross the bridge to find the cache. There is a decent gap with a 40' drop onto the rocks below. Our yellow lab Paco could not make the gap and to carry him over even with 3 of us seemed too risky. So Paco and I bushwaked downstream a bit and forded the river.

This pipeline used to supply Oregon City and West Lynn with water until 1985. Some of the tunnles were hand drilled. You can check out a very cool walk thruogh of the area @ http://www.portlandhikers.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3964 and a bit of history @ http://www.sfwb.org/history.html.

Be careful getting here and getting out there are many dangerous sections of trail.
