Offset multi with only one container at final
This cache is an offset multi 3 stage cache. The first two stages will bring you to places that have a clue that you will need to find to determine the coordinates of the next stage. The final is a small plastic container hidden in the trees. This cache is part of our GeOlympic series. The Olympic torch relay is the ceremonial relaying of the olympic flame from Olympia, Greece, to the site of the current Olympic games. It was first performed at the 1936 Berlin Games and has taken place prior to every Games since. The relay occurs when one torch bearer hands the torch to the next torch bearer or lights the next torch along the relay. This multi cache visits a few torches before getting to the final.
At stage 1 you will find a torch (street light) with numbers running down the pole. You will need to use these numbers to get to stage 2. There are 8 numbers down the length of the pole. To get the North coordinates to stage 2 take the first 3 numbers and add 313 to get N 28 13.??? To get the West coordinates take the last 2 numbers and add 41 to get W 082 19.???. This will take you to stage 2 which look very similar to stage 1.
At stage 2 you will see another set of 8 numbers on the torch. The numbers going down the pole will correspond to the letters ABCDEFGH with the top number being A and the bottom number being H. The coordinates to teh final will be at N 28 13. GC 0 (zero not O). West 082 19.HBD.
The cache is part of a series of caches placed to coincide with the summer olympics. SOME of the caches contain letter/number combintation clues needed for find the closing ceremony cache. Good luck to all geolympic participants.
NOTE - Please be careful at the final as there is barbed wire close to the ground about 3 ft from the cache. - You should not cross it or get closer than 10 ft from the fence
