Crater Lake #1: Holey Wall!
To reach the cache:
Follow Moi South Lake Road to the end of the tar at Kongoni Village and continue approx. 4km along the dusty dirt road to S00 47.200 E036 15.158 where you turn right to enter the Crater Lake Game Sanctuary. After completing the brief entry formalities, proceed to the Camp parking area at S00 47.020 E036 15.497.
Pass through the reception area heading for the steps leading down to the lake-shore camp.
The cache, a small screw-topped tablet pot is hidden behind a small rock in one of the holes in the heavily eroded volcanic rock face just beyond a wooden building (shop) near the top of the steps. Do be careful to adopt suitable counter-muggle measures when retrieving and replacing the cache!

We arrived quite late at the camp having spent quite some time viewing the numerous game animals in the woods & plains below . . . and then hiding the Rim Viewpoint Cache. We needed to head back to Nairobi so didn’t have long enough to follow the trail around the lake and find a nice cache hiding place along the way.
However, fortunately as we were about to leave without placing a cache, we spotted the nifty hidey hole . . .
