Området er opkaldt efter Marie, der var Otto Frederik Kralunds kone. I 1873 skænkede Otto skoven til Kolding - på en betingelse: Området skulle bære navnet Marielund.
Denne serie bestående af 4 traditionelle cacher + en bonus cache. Serien kan sagtens kombineres med den rigtig fine multi Marienlundsøen (GC124W6)
Turen omkring søen i den dejlige varierede Marienlundskov er cirka 3 km. Lang.... og følger hjertestien.

This wood is named after Marie. In year 1873 Otto Frederik Kralund gave the area to Kolding on one condition: The area must carry the name Marielund.
