This cache is hidden back from a scenic overlook, as designated by the signs on the trail. The overlook itself is of the Wisconsin River as it flows past the topographical high-point located by the cache site.
Also interesting, just down the road is a wooden bridge across the river, with a park and canoe facilites just to the south of it.
The cache is located about 3/4 of a mile back from the end of the road, (the waypoint designed below is where the road ends and the trail begins.) Be wary, as large mud holes are often present on the road/trail back to the cache for a long time after it rains. You are looking for a large plastic container
I often enjoy coming back here as it was a nice and peaceful spot in the northwoods.
It may be possible to drive back further on the forest road, just be aware there may be some HUGE puddles and soft sand at times. 4x4 recommended if attempted
