The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. The posted coordinates are a snow plow turn around where you can park when it is not snow season.
Recently I was caching with L, when she lamented that no one had ever made a platinum ammo can to honor her 5,000th find. Lament no more, L! Well, lament a little, because this puzzle may prove tricky.
The cache is in Frozen Ocean State Forest. I found some overgrown trails to follow, and so rated the terrain 3.5. But it could be more or less depending on weather and your leg length. You may need to bushwahck if you don't find the old trails or if they are wet and muddy. This area is used for hunting, so WEAR BLAZE ORANGE if you search during hunting season.
Now, on to the puzzle:
My son Dan and his friend Mike were studying in the library for Part 1 of the National Board Exam. Along came their fellow medical student, Tom, who wanted to go out for a beer. Now Tom is a bit immature, so when Dan and Mike declined, he reached over, grabbed two of their home-made flash cards, and ripped them to bits before stomping off. Dan picked up the pieces, and here are the first 7 things he found written on the paper shreds:
ow ic roch Finn ering faci duce
He then drew a blank scrap of paper before picking up the following 7 scraps:
eel ab old Tow pus Feel opt
Where IS that dang geocache, anyway?
There are two new travel bugs in the cache, one for the first to find, and one for the second to find.
This cache may not be accessible in deep snow, as it is hidden in the usual under-the-fallen-logs fashion.
