This cache is in the Dowdy Lake Campground.
When viewing the cache location from the campground looking west toward Red Feather Lakes Village, you will see a rock formation with a "face" that reminded us of Edvard Munch's famous painting "The Scream".
Dowdy Lake is our favorite campground. You will have a great view of the lake from the cache location.
Access to the Dowdy Lake recreation area requires a day use fee or camping fee. Closest parking is at the overflow parking near the campground host.
The climb up to the cache area is a bit steep through rocky terrain.
You are looking for a small square camoed container. Please be sure to unlatch the lid on all 4 sides to open.
