Geocache Description:

As the name of this cache would suggest it is near to a stile fairly easy to get to by foot or mountain bike. This is a large area of Heathland with many typical heath species present such as Dartford Warbler, Heather and Gorse. Two species of Gorse are present and the yellow flowers appear almost throughout the year.

If you are driving to this cache (and also for the most scenic route) I would suggest that you drive to the recycling centre and use the car park adjacent to it and from there you will have to go on foot ,this route can be flooded after heavy rain, an alternative would be to park on Cherque Farm Housing estate and crossing the main road and entering Sandhills that way, (Thank you Axwood). If you are on pushbike you can come in this way also or from Privett Road, it is open to the public when not in use by the MOD, do look out for the red warning flags before entering the area. The cache is not on the stile itself but just a few feet from it, to determine which side of the stile you need to be (Sandhills or Browndown) you will have to trust your GPS device.  You are looking for a very small micro cache with just a log book inside so you will need a pen and you will most likely need some tweezers to retrieve the log book from it. Please do not post pictures of cache online so as not to ruin it for others.
