Geocache Description:

This cache was placed as part of the McHenry County Conservation District's Cache Your Way Across McHenry County program.  You do not need to be part of the program to seek this cache but please leave the informational card intact for those who are!

Exner Marsh contains two calcereous floating mats. These are basically a floating mat of peat soil and specific types of plants grow here due to the high mineral concentrations from the groundwater. Some of the wildflowers that can be found are fen betony, jewelweed and loosestrife species. Jewelweed is a natural remedy for what?

Site open sunrise to sunset.  Please remain on the trails until you are near the cache.
