This small micro cache overlooks a beautiful view of an old abandoned bridge and the Cedar River near Ramsey. Gain access to this cache from the east, not the golf course.
No need to go on the bridge. This cache is found on the railbed of a former Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific right of way. Most of this abandoned line, from Dexter to Ramsey is part of the Wild Indigo Prairie DNR Scientific and Natural Areas (SNA). However the cache is located in a narrow sliver right next to the river that is not included in the SNA.
Gain access to the SNA from the east. Trail is nearly level, yet minimally maintained stretch, depending on where you enter. Can be about a mile hike if us use the true entrance at Co. Rd 61 but much shorter entering at 546th Ave cutting a short distance through some trees and brush to the trail
