OK, you are now half or 2/3 of the way to Julian. It's time for a little hike and to take a break and enjoy the nature
Camoed plastic container, hidden at the tree bottom. Terrain rating goes mostly for last 10-15 feet of the path. Campers from nearby camp hike here, and I had to hide cache well.
Please re-hide it in a way so it doesn't get carried away by the next rain.
If you are up for a little longer hike, when you get to the first tree from the road, go right, up the hill, and follow the barely visible trail to the top of the local hill. Bring a camera with you
Also, place a cache there for others to find it
(I guess I was so stunned with the view that I forgot that I can place it-reminds me of: Bugs Bunny: I wonder if Daffy will remember that he can fly. (Crash). Bugs Bunny: Nope, I guess not
)
Small parking spot is available just beside the sharp right turn (heading northbound). Be very careful when leaving, traffic comes fast (opening the window helps to hear the incoming traffic behind you).
Follow the creek. About 20 feet before the dead end, I placed a branch. Turn right, go uphill, navigate around obstacles, and then as the upslope just eases a bit, turn left. Then go some more and use your geo-instincts to find the right tree. Check pictures if you need. Should be easy once you are there. Painted mini jar or big pill container wedged at the bottom of the dying tree.
BTW, the trail to the local peak is invisible, dry grass covered it, I guess hikes to it are no longer popular among campers.
Congrats to dm92124 on FTF!
