This cache is number twelve in a series of caches. The plan is to put out a range of difficulty and terrain caches, as well as cache types, local to the Eglinton and surrounding areas (for my ease of maintenance). The first digit of these caches will also start with all the letters and numbers for anyone trying to complete their Alphanumeric challenge.
Please remember to note down the letter at the top of the log book.
Welcome to Claudy Country Park
The cache is hidden close to where the Glenrandel River meets the River Faughan at 90 degrees, the River Faughan then continues straight and splits around a small island at almost 90 degrees, so it looks like a crossroads in the river (hence the Cache name).
The suggested parking is about a 7 -10 minute walk along gravel tracks. There is also a very nice playground for the younger geocachers close to the car park (this is open from 10 am to dusk).
Claudy Country Park runs along the side of the River Faughan and Glenrandel River. Due to the proximity of the river, please be extra careful with kids. There is lots of interpretation boards along the way to make the walk a bit more educational, and plenty of benches to stop off and have a rest at.
Enjoy your visit and help protect this area for future visits.
Do not pick the wild flowers
Do not light fires.

The Cache
It’s a 300 ml rectangle tab lock container, well hidden from view of people passing. Please replace exactly as and where you find it.
A bonus cache will then be available by solving an anagram with all the collected letters from each of the previous 36 caches.
REMEMBER TO JOT DOWN AND KEEP THE LETTER ON THE TOP OF THE LOGBOOK. Happy hunting.
