Geocache Description:

A nice spot for moose watching.

Just across the road you will see a blank sign board and a paved road. This road used to lead to the Andover earth Station which was a 16 story high dome building in the middle of moose country. Here is where the first satellite phone and television experiments took place. The primary objective of the station was communication with the Telstar 1 satellite in the 1960's. The dome was dismantled in the mid 1990's but some satellite dishes still remain in operation.

This is a large container big enough for swag and trackables. Please be cautious of moose and DO NOT attempt if there is a moose nearby.
