Windmills have been used throughout history for varying purposes from milling grain to pumping water. This one, however, appears to be purely for decoration and an excuse for me to place what I believe to be Currans Hill's first geocache.
This cache was hidden on 8th August 2012 to celebrate dastylze birthday - he's 34 today. Happy Birthday Cousin!
When you arrive at the reserve containing the Windmill be assured that you will be surrounded by local muggles, some will be in their front yards chatting with friends, some will be walking their dogs, some will be going for a walk, muggle children will be riding their bikes and scooters around on the pathways. The Windmill is attractive to non-local muggles too, some come to look while others come to photograph.
Roadside parking is available on the street adjacent to the reserve and after exiting your vehicle and entering the reserve you should quickly find yourself on a concrete pathway.
