Geocache Description:

My Story begins around the area of N44° 23.770 & W 79° 41.142 (please not that the cache is not at the Posted coords but within 2-3kms).........

I woke up this morning, had my morning coffee and headed out to host our 1st CITO event. Lots of familiar faces showed up along with some new ones. The day was a success, we collected garbage, shared stories and had some laughs.

After the CITO event was finished Miss Swiss and Mr Canadian decided to enjoy this beautiful day and take in a long walk in the City of Barrie. We exited the park on Berczy St. Heading South to Penetang St.

Charlie, Northy, Angie, and Karina

Along the way they saw a nice couple walking their Pug dogs, named Charlie, Angie, Northy and Karina. The dog owners informed them that their pups were purebred and they have puppies for sale if they were interested. They only cost $442 complete with shots and papers. After a brief conversation Miss Swiss and Mr Canadian parted ways, not without their contact information though. Just in case they were interested in getting a new addition to the family further down the road.

So back to their journey heading South West down Penetang street they walked a good couple hundred meters when they came to a convenience store on Dunlop Street. At this point it was so Hot outside they needed a couple bottles of water to stay hydrated. So in they went to get some. They were surprised at how much water cost at the store, as they never buy bottled water. They prefer to use Their Brita water filter at home. Miss Swiss grabbed 3 bottles and walk right up to the counter, handed the clerk some money and he in return gave them $.16 change. Not too bad considering the waters cost $2 each. Lets just say they walked out with a profit and Mr Canadian was happy about that.

The Happy couple continued along the way stopping for a couple Geocaches that were nearby (Hoot Hoo and Did You Ever See A Fish Eating From A Dish). Both were fairly easy Terrain/Difficulty ratings so they took the time to enjoy the view to the West while waiting out the muggles nearby. Miss Swiss tried to go and get the 1st cache but just as she was about to retrieve it 7 muggles came out and got into a van after enjoying some frosty beverages on the patio. After that it took all of 9 seconds to get. So they quickly signed the log and were on their way.

Spirit Catcher

Next they were off to the last one for the day and it was down on the water front. They looked around for about a hour with no luck, picking up rocks and climbing trees. They had no clue what they were looking for really. Miss Swiss eventually found the cache, signed and put back. She noticed a Sign with weird markings on it. Mr Canadian counted 41 different dates inscribed on the post. Miss Swiss had to POINT out one unique date there anniversary.

After retrieving those caches for the day they were satisfied that they still have the 366 Challenge in their sights, but they don’t want to stop there. Miss Swiss came up with a great idea to keep caching all the way through that mark and go another 189 days after that. So they will have the longest streak in Ontario (Not a true fact).

The day was coming to a close and they ended the walk at the corner of Toronto and Simcoe Street intersection. After they reached this point Mr Canadian found a nice spot to place a geocache. Good thing he had a bag with various sizes of cache containers with him. Not all were suitable for the location he picked out, but this one was just right. After getting good coordinates readings and made sure the cache was nestled just right at the location they made the trek back home.
